Privacy Policy

Permit Fox is operated by Permit Fox LLC (“Permit Fox,” “we,” “us”). We turn public building-permit records into scored sales leads for contractors and local sales teams. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it. Questions? Email privacy@permitfox.co.

• Account information you provide at signup — name, company, email, and the market and trade you sell into.
• Billing information processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store full card numbers; Stripe handles payment data under its own terms.
• Usage data such as pages viewed, leads opened, and email opens, used to operate and improve the product.
• Permit records sourced from public government open-data. These describe properties and projects, not our users, and are the core data we deliver to you.

• To provide the service — scoring permits and delivering your lead feed and digests.
• To process payments and manage your subscription.
• To send transactional email and, if enabled, lead alert digests.
• To secure the platform, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

We send account and lead-digest emails to the address on your account. You can turn off alert digests at any time from your dashboard alert settings or via the unsubscribe link in any digest email. We do not sell your email address. Some messages, such as billing and security notices, are transactional and required to operate your account.

We share information only with service providers that help us run Permit Fox — including Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (billing), Resend (email delivery), and our permit-data and AI infrastructure providers — each acting on our instructions. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights. We do not sell your personal information.

We keep account information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, then for a reasonable period to meet legal, tax, and security obligations. Public permit records may be retained as part of our dataset.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, email privacy@permitfox.co and we will respond as required by applicable law.

We use industry-standard measures — encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level-security on our database — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and to notify you of material incidents as required by law.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date, and where appropriate we will notify you by email.
